Hartford Foundation of New York City and the Atlantic Philanthropies, seeks applicants for Scholarship and Fellowship Programs for Building Academic Geriatric Nursing Capacity. Home Care
The Visiting Nurse Associations of America Curricula for Homecare Advances in Management and Practice (VNAA CHAMP), a 4-year project funded in 2004 by the Atlantic Philantrophies, provides training to nurse managers to incorporate evidence-based best practices in their agencies. Academic Centers of Excellence
The June/August 2006 issue of Nursing Outlook was devoted to The Hartford-funded Centers of Geriatric Nursing Excellence (HCGNE) composed of Oregon Health and Science University, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, University of California San Francisco, University of Iowa, and University of Pennsylvania.

 

These centers are part of the John A. Hartford's Building Academic Geriatric Nursing Capacity (BAGNC) initiative coordinated by the American Academy of Nursing. It's emphasis is to expand the number of emerging geriatric nursing leaders with innovative models. Predoctoral and post-doctoral fellowships are available.
