It is with deep sadness to inform you that Dr. Yu (Philip) Xu, AAPINA President passed away on July 9, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. As an immigrant from China, Dr. Yu (Philip) Xu was very passionate about the assimilation of foreign nurses in American society and mentorship. As a scholar, Dr. Xu authored hundreds of scholarly articles in nursing and health care journals about cultural competence, foreign nurse assimilation, and health care status of minority populations.
Winners will be announced at the 10th Annual AAPINA Nursing Conference.
